about me
I'm from a village in the Yorkshire countryside, but now live down South with my husband, new little human and 2 boisterous pups, Logan & Frank. I spend most my time between the two areas, but love to explore.
Since studying Art & Design at the University of Leeds, I've worked as a CRM Manager in London for various companies including ASOS. I quit office working and ventured back into the creative world to be a Photographer and couldn't be happier for it!
What makes me smile?
- Endless cups of tea
- Highland cows
- Beautiful skies
- Dwight Schrute
- Throwing on my wellies and taking my boys for a stroll
Top of my travel list
- Canadian Lakes

First of all - congratulations!

I specialise in 'candid wedding photography'. Lots of professional photography is too posed and stiff. It should be about capturing the real emotions of your day; all the smiles, all the tears - and all those dutch-courage dance moves!

(But don't get me wrong, I can also give you Pinterest-worthy portraits!)

I don't believe in a 'one-size-fits-all' set list of images; your photographs should reflect your individuality, focusing on the natural moments & most importantly, having fun. I love capturing the in-between moments, when a pose falls apart.

I can work with you to plan any must-have shots & then work the rest of the day capturing your natural smiles from a distance - you'll forget I'm even there! No really - my most common feedback is how discreet I am. You'll be able to look back at the photographs & feel the joy of real moments you might've missed on the day.

The finished images will be beautifully candid, edited with my warm, rich & artistic twist.

Candids with killer portraits

Engagement shoots

As a camera shy person, I know how scary the idea of being the focus of a full day shoot is.

Engagement shoots are a great way to combat those nerves. We can get to know each other & get those awkward smiles out the way in time for the big day.

It also helps me to learn how to work with you, to keep any posed photographs as swift as possible on the day, so you can get back to the party. Plus... it's a nice day out!

"Oh my god, Imogen, we've just looked at our photos and they are so beautiful!
You did an amazing job, we couldn't be happier. Thank you so so much"

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?

Arrow

I'm happy to travel pretty much anywhere for weddings! Engagement shoots are within 1 hour of CR5 or DL11.

Costs are covered within England, but my 2 main areas are the South East & North Yorkshire.

- My base in the South East is Coulsdon, so London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent & surroundings are great.
- My Yorkshire base is now Richmond, so anywhere from Leeds and York, to the Yorkshire Dales up to Newcastle and Durham are ideal.

I also LOVE to travel for destination weddings - my packages remain the same, but I'd ask for accommodation and travel expenses.

Can you stay until the very end?

Arrow

The latest I stay is 10pm, but for most, 11-9pm or 10-8pm fits everything you need to cover for your wedding day, from 1-2 hours of bridal prep, through until 1 hour of dancing with a traditional wedding timeline. Get in touch if you're looking for something outside the norm!

What's your style?

Arrow

The most common feedback I get is my calm and sometimes 'almost invisible' approach to capturing your day, making couples feel at ease. There's no 90's cheese or Chandler smiles happening here. I focus on documenting the natural moments, aiming not to take the wedding party away for too long. Even the Bride and Groom can be 'un-posed', finding a nice spot to allow you to enjoy a much needed moment to yourselves. This style is often also called 'candid wedding photography' or 'relaxed wedding photography'. That's not to say we can't get a few Pinterest-worthy portraits for you too.

I follow the couple's lead in terms of what they are comfortable with - if that's running barefoot through fields, then great! I'll be there with you. If that's not your thing - also totally fine, I remain flexible to your preferences.

My natural editing style is warm and soft. You'll get some B&W ones included in your gallery too.

In terms of wedding styles, I'm a bit of a country-loving bumpkin so I do love anything outdoors and adventurous (I climbed to the top of a rock formation in my 3rd trimester for an engagement shoot last year), but most importantly I love to see all your personal touches and the love shining through.

Pets at weddings? Always.

What about the obligatory formal photographs?

Arrow

Group shots are an important part of the day - especially for parents. Within your pre-wedding questionnaire, I provide space for a list - but I recommend you keep to a maximum of ten group shots to make sure they don't take up too much time! Ad-hoc ones can always be added on the day.

When will I get my photographs and how many will there be?

Arrow

I'll send you a few sneak peaks within 48 hours and aim to have your full gallery with you in no later than 4 weeks (often much sooner out of peak season). The amount of photos really varies wedding to wedding, depending on the structure of your day and the amount of guests attending, but for a full day of photography, you'll can expect a minimum of 500 final edited images (again, often much more towards the 1000 mark).

Where can I see more photographs?

Arrow

The best places to view my photographs are my gallery pages and on Instagram. If you'd like to see some more full galleries - just ask!

I have more questions, how can I contact you?

Arrow

Please email me or fill out the contact form and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. If you don't hear back within 48 hours, please check your junk mail (I've been having issues!).
